**Note:** To rehydrate an HDFS file, see [Rehydrating HDFS files](/pdc-10.2-data-optimizer/pdso-management/pdso-rehydration/pdso-rehydrating-hdfs-files.md).

1. Click **Home**.

   The Home page appears.
2. On the **Data Operations** card, locate the file that you want to restore and click the ![](/files/BMDch3hFHOIw33SdnuRi) icon.

**Note:** You can also use **Search** to locate the file by name.

   The **Data Operations** page opens.
3. Locate the file name, click **More options**, and then select **Rehydrate**.

Rehydration begins. You can monitor the status of the file’s rehydration on the Data Operations page.
