# Manage the Pentaho Server

You can manage the Pentaho Server by turning off and on various functionality, removing sample data, importing and updating email addresses, and other advanced options. The Pentaho Server also has options that you can maintain manually, outside of the Administration page of the User Console. You can do any or all of these tasks depending on your needs.
