# SAML security Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) is a web­based authentication mechanism that relies on the browser as an agent to broker the authentication flow. There are numerous third-party Identity Providers (IdP) available, such as OpenSSO, OKTA, and SSOCircle.com.
