# Cannot execute or modify a transformation or job

If you cannot do any of the standard transformation or job tasks (such as run, preview, debug, replay, verify, schedule, copy, export, or save), you do not have the Execute permission.

Have an administrative user check to see if your role has been granted the Execute permission. See the **Administer Pentaho Data Integration and Analytics** document for details.
