Step 2: Unpack the files

Unpack the compressed files that you downloaded to manually install the PDI client and, if needed, Hadoop utilities.

Complete the following steps to unpack the compressed files.

CAUTION: Do not use Unarchiver 3.3 to unpack files because Unarchiver 3.3 might corrupt the plugin file names.

1. Locate the files that you downloaded in Step 1: Download files.

2. Unpack the pdi-ee-client-11.0.0.0-<build number>.zip file into a temporary directory.

3. If you downloaded the pdi-ee-client-11.0.0.0-<build number>-hadoop-addon.zip file, unpack the file into a temporary directory.
