Use Plugin Manager

You can extend Pentaho Data Integration (PDI) capabilities by installing plugins that add new steps, job entries, and transformation or job extensions. The recommended method for installing, updating, and managing plugins is through the Plugin Manager, which is available in both the PDI client and the Pentaho User Console (PUC).

You can use the Plugin Manager to:

  • Install new plugins to extend platform functionality.

  • Update existing plugins to the latest versions.

  • Uninstall plugins that are no longer needed.

Notes:

  • If you cannot use Plugin Manager, you can download plugin installation files and documentation from the Customer Portal.

  • Plugins installed outside of the Plugin Manager might not be listed in the Plugin Manager and must be maintained manually.
