Process overview

Installation instructions are the same for Windows, Linux, and Mac platforms.

Complete following tasks, in order, to install a trial version of Pentaho. Note: if you have already downloaded the software and have the Trial License File, skip Steps 1 and 2 below.

1. Download the trial software (you may have already completed this step)

2. Acquire a Trial License File (you may have already completed this step). Note: You can skip this step and use the bundled 30-day Trial License.

3. Start the installation wizard

4. Choose the default installation or custom installation method.

5. Verify your installation

6. Follow the steps in the tutorial to get started
