Edit configuration files for users

Your cluster administrator must download configuration files from the cluster for the applications your teams are using, and then edit them to include Pentaho-specific and user-specific parameters. These files are then used to create a named connection. These files are embedded in the named connection xml file which can be found under user's directory: <username>/.pentaho/metastore/pentaho/NamedCluster. A file with a named connection is created when you create a named connection. In addition to this file a folder with a named connection name is created <username>/.pentaho/metastore/pentaho/NamedCluster/Configs/<user-defined connection name>. You will find config.properties under that folder which contains additional configurations for the named connection. Please save the edited file in a location for future use.

• core-site.xml

• mapred-site.xml

• hdfs-site.xml

• yarn-site.xml
